It’s no secret that England’s national team has had its fair share of disappointments over the last few decades. From Beckham to Rooney to the current generation with Harry Kane leading the charge, every squad seems to have more talent than the last. But the silverware hasn’t followed. Yet, in recent years, things have started to look up. Sure, England hasn’t lifted a major trophy since 1966, but we’ve come close. It’s not enough to satisfy the hunger of England fans, but maybe, just maybe, this is the start of a golden era.
